Tenderness‘ by @adrianmcgarry – “My shot is of our newly born grandson, Hughie. His tiny hand and those of his loving parents are entwined in a tender moment of genuine love. The image was taken on an iPhone XS and edited in Snapseed, where I converted it to black and white. “

Asian Romance

Asian Romance‘ by @beatemolt – “Photo was taken in Bali at Jimbaran Beach. Right before sunset a lot of asian couples with photographers and stylists show up at the beach for taking the wedding photos. Brides are in walking in their wedding goans through the sands, grooms in black tie at their side. For this picture a couple was arranged by the photographer to watch the sunset. They talked together during the time the photographer prepared himself for the shooting. This was the time when I took the photo. Edited with Instagram, converted to black and white, softened the contrast. I decided to convert to black and white because I want to break the stereotype of sunset and romance, for to Show that love can be seen without a icky setup. “

Lake Louise | My Favourite Things

Lake Louise | My Favourite Things‘ by @dave_ienzi – “This photo captures my children experiencing the natural and unsurpassed beauty of one of my favourite places on earth – Lake Louise, Alberta in Banff National Park.  The three of us travelled throughout the Canadian Rocky Mountains on our seventeen-day 2018 summer adventure to experience Canada’s amazing and pristine natural landscapes in British Columbia and Alberta.  I snapped this tender moment on my iPhone 8 with editing via Instagram.  In case you are wondering, Julie Andrews’ catchy tune, My Favourite Things, from The Sound of Music plays in my head every time I look at this photo.  Cue the music…”

Love and affection

Love and affection‘ by @elspethvines – “We went to Frankston Foreshore one beautiful summer evening, and this couple were in their own romantic bubble, oblivious to the world around them. I took a couple of quick captures on iPhone 7+, using Camera2+ on mag x2. Edited using Lightroom CC for light and shade adjustments and crop, Touch Retouch to eliminate surrounding people and objects that detracted, then warming filters in Mextures and iColorama to add to the evening romantic emotion. I can’t remember the Mextures filter unfortunately. “

It’s all about us

It’s all about us‘ by @marta_spencer – “Sometimes we can wait for hours to get the right light or the right angle for the best shot. Other times the shot is waiting for us to find it. On the day I took this photo, I was wandering around a wonderful salvage yard. Give me a bunch of old rusty cars and I am very happy. I noticed some old semi truck trailers and looked inside. This is what I found. I didn’t have to do anything to set this up. It was waiting for me. If we all look beyond the obvious capture, we may find an even better one.

Since there was so much wonderful texture and light in this image I decided to make it into a black-and-white photo. Wouldn’t it make a fun wedding present? Shot on iPhone 7+ with no edit except from color to black-and-white.”

Happy is the man who finds a true friend, and far happier is he who finds that true friend is his wife!

Happy is the man who finds a true friend, and far happier is he who finds that true friend is his wife!‘ by @nnkrenz – “This is my handsome nephew and his beautiful Brazilian wife on their wedding day! The wedding was very small and couldn’t have been more beautiful! iPhone 8+ snapseed”

Get off that phone, young man!

Get off that phone, young man!‘ by @pastortwallace – “‘Get off that phone, young man!’ I looked up to see a couple walking toward me, the older gentleman grinning at me. I smiled as my wife and I visited with these strangers, taking a break from out Christmas shopping. Walking away I couldn’t help but snapping this affectionate scene.

Captured with the Samsung Galaxy S9 +, I edited this shot with Adobe Lightroom CC and Snapseed. I transformed this image to black and white while removing some of the distracting background details.

Grandmas hold our tiny hands for just a little while……but our hearts forever!‘ by @rawsdeb – “This photo is special to me since it is my granddaughter. I love children and the tenderness of holding a child’s hand is so special. It was taken on an iPhone 7+ and edited in Snapseed and converted to black and white. “

SiStars

Mobiography Photo Challenge: 15 Beautiful Love & Affection Inspired Smartphone Photos 12

SiStars‘ by @squarepoet – “This is the story of one of the Silesian courtyards. Upper Silesia is a quite large post-industrial urban organism. You can find here places where people spend their free time, as in the past. They sit together in the backyards, drink coffee and talk. The picture shows two sisters while having fun. One of them fell over, the other, older, trying to comfort her younger sister. The photo was taken in Gliwice, Poland using a smartphone. Editing in Snapseed. “

Love is all around us

Mobiography Photo Challenge: 15 Beautiful Love & Affection Inspired Smartphone Photos 13

Love is all around us‘ by @susanblanda – “I am an experimenter by nature and use a stream-of-consciousness “layering” technique when I create images – much like I did in the darkroom – back in the day. Developing film, watching prints appear in the chemical baths, and manipulating images in the darkroom – these cherished lessons helped to develop my current editing style, as seen in this image.

Manipulating the image was a huge part of my process in my darkroom days and it remains important to me now. And, I use similar techniques today for the same reasons I did years ago: to create imagery with a unique visual voice, and to connect with others in a memorable way.

My process is simple in that I create images entirely on an iPhone using easily accessible apps like Snapseed, VSCO, Mextures, and Enlight. These tools are a true gift to creative people! But the greatest gift of all, for me, is time spent in imagination and creative play. There’s were the magic lives!”

A jumper built for 2

A jumper built for 2‘ by @wallopart – “Shot on iPhone 7 and very simple tweaks made to clarity within instagram itself. The shot features my daughter and her beloved whippet, Dot ( who feels the cold and so insists on being cuddled up As close as possible to her human – even if in this instance it meant being inside her jumper). I love this shot purely because it’s an absolute snapshot of our everyday life and shows the love and affection we are lucky to have as a part of our odd little family. “

However big may be the distance or the difference… some relations never change…‘ by @manojh93 – “The most innocent and unconditional love is that of a kid towards his mother. This is a random pic caught when he was trying to make her laugh as she was angry at his mistake. “
