This weeks showcase of mobile photography from the Mobiography Flickr Group looks at ten photos that feature some interesting examples of wall art or graffiti. By their nature these types of wall art can instantly add an unusual element of interest to any photo and when combined with a human element they have the potential to create a compelling message such as Jiri Dvorak’s photo taken on the streets of Soho in London.
Featured photographers this week include Dariusz Sobiecki, Firery Broome, Jiri Dvorak, Liz Traynor, Mrjacksonpc, Roy Savoy, Shel Serkin, Susan Rennie, Waldemar B?a?ej Nowak Nowak and Alejandro Cendan Rodriguez.

Good Fellaz
‘Good Fellaz‘ by Dariusz Sobiecki – “My home city of Gdynia, Poland, abounds with beautiful murals, which draw your attention as well as inspire to create city frames with their presence. Not rarely located in intriguing backyards, the murals often evoke images from a kind of alternative, interactive reality.
In my photo, a mural from a bit neglected part of the port district adds flavour and character to, otherwise, a normal, “predictable” backyard in such an area.”
Painter on Race
‘Painter on Race‘ by Firery Broome – “Had a photo day in Philly the other day. Just wandered around looking for some interesting things to photograph. Lots of great windows, walls, doors, architectural details, art of all kind and people too, if you’re a street photographer in Philly.
This was my favorite window and wall combo for the day. Captured with iPhone very lightly edited in Snapseed on the iPad.”
Untitled
‘Untitled‘ by Jiri Dvorak – “The photo was taken in Soho, London, UK. I walked past the guy with the sign and then I noticed the street art and it occurred to me that the guy was unwittingly mimicking the art work. I stopped and took a couple of pictures.
The photo was fine tuned in Snapseed and then I applied a film simulation filter in RNI Films app. ”
Saturdays Are For Scooting Again
‘Saturdays Are For Scooting Again‘ by Liz Traynor – “This was a really quick and easy shot. We were visiting family in Toowoomba a little while back and in a stroll around town, we came across this amazing mural. My son was on his scooter and I quickly grabbed a shot as he scooted past the mural. I processed this image slightly in Snapseed – increased the brightness and ambiance and overlaid with a vintage filter. ”
