Mobiography Photo Challenge: 14 Beautifully Peaceful & Tranquil Smartphone Photos 1

Untitled‘ by @ipiotrxs – “Airports are busy, bustling, hectic places… but there’s peace and serenity to be found in waiting for a loved one.

It was shot on iPhone Xs with portrait mode on for depth of field. I also played with shadows and highlights a bit and edited as little as possible.”

On the Großglockner road

On the Großglockner road‘ by @allophile_ – “I took this with my iPhone X; my wife and I were on vacation and driving from the Salzkammergut lake district in Austria to the Dolomites in northern Italy. On a last minute whim we decided to take a scenic detour: the Grossglockner road—one of the highest in the Alps, built in the 1930’s. The steep toll was worth every Euro-penny; we spent all afternoon oohing and ahhing at the impossibly vertical terrain, feeling fortunate that neither one of us suffers from motion sickness—the road is nothing but hairpin curves… By later in the day, the sun came out and we spent some time relaxing well above the tree-line, reflecting on the Alpine splendor, grateful to be able to spend time here. The photo was taken with the native iPhone X camera in panorama mode; used snapseed to balance out the exposure a bit.”

Golf Life‘ by @iphotokunst – “Doolin is a beautiful place in Ireland. I saw this silhouette and captured the moment immediately. Edited in Lightroom mobile.”

Untitled‘ by @reneetakespics – “This shot was taken on one of our early Saturday morning walks at Poplar Beach in Half Moon Bay. The landscape is different every week. The fog and nearly deserted beach on this particular day made for an especially serene scene. I used a combination of Snapseed and Instagram filters to enhance the serenity.”

“It’s all about finding the calm in the chaos”

It’s all about finding the calm in the chaos‘ by @rawsdeb – “This was a photo I took of my daughter at a nearby park. I was taken by the serenity and peace about the setting and as she sat down to enjoy the scenery I quickly snapped the picture. It was taken on an iPhone XS and edited in Snapseed.”

Sea foam scribbles

Sea foam scribbles‘ by @alice1280 – “I love the tide lines formed by sea foam. The foam usually recedes very fast with the wave. On this day it lingered making a squiggly line leading the eye to the tiny person. Such soft colours on a grey day. I did a little editing with Snapseed.”

The best seat in the house

Mobiography Photo Challenge: 14 Beautifully Peaceful & Tranquil Smartphone Photos 7

The best seat in the house‘ by @jawdoc2 – “It was a foggy winters day in Vancouver. I went down to the seawall and noticed the fog had created this white blanket to camouflage the busy mountainous background. I looked at the stark winter tress and lonely bench and thought the scene would look great with a human element. So I set my iPhone 7 plus on a tripod with the ten second timer and ran in to sit on the bench. The leading street lines added to the composition. The final image sure does depict peace and tranquility. Used the iPhone software to straighten, crop and change to black and white.”

cloud nine

cloud nine‘ by @loupdeloopy – “My cousin likes to show up at my door with mountainous bouquets. They’re rarely what I would pick for myself yet somehow always perfect and thank goodness, because I’m housebound with severe illness, and these blooms become both my joy and my subjects. In this case, the roses posed the challenge. I find they so easily become clichés. I used my clip-on macro lens to focus on the petals’ paper-thin edges, and I got lucky. Editing on Instagram followed. Much credit goes to the rose itself, with its unusual swoops and curves. And to my beloved cousin, always. ”

Watching the sunrise

Watching the sunrise‘ by @jilllian2 – “Dew drops are part of my morning walk. I love the reflection I get when shooting towards the sun, especially In the early morning light. This photo is just as I shot it, using my iPhone 7plus, with an olloclip macro lens. ”
