Once again I am pleased to present this years ’24 Mobile Photographers Til Christmas’. It is a series that has been run throughout December for the last couple of years and has always been successfully received. In part, it is to celebrate the forthcoming festive season but also to celebrate another year in the timeline of Mobiography.
In the series I ask 24 hand picked mobile photographers to offer an insight into their work, to reflect on their year gone by or plans for the coming year ahead. Each featured photographer is someone who has inspired or supported me in one way or another during the course of the past year. One photographer will be showcased each day until Christmas Eve in a sort of online advent calendar so to speak.
Today’s featured photographer is Andrea Bigiarini.
Do you have any exciting photographic project plans for the coming year ahead?
I have A LOT! But the one I love the most is Impossible Humans.
The main purpose of the photography project Impossible Humans (website and Facebook Group) is to focus on the individual in order to enhance its uniqueness and singularity and place harmoniously into its environment, a key component of the thought is that the middle ages led to bloom to the Renaissance.
An person detached by the mass, by the standards, by the divisions created by the society, cultural and religious and perfectly placed in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural society.
Impossible Humans is a project based on portraits of people who focus their uniqueness, their personality enhancing the awareness of being in every respect of human, with flaws, passions, emotions and dreams.
The Project is a new kind of photographic events with 3 main types:
IH PHOTOSHOOTINGS: in large clubs, strange locations, events or public spaces. The last 3 IH Shootings were made ??in places were the photography has never entered as active protagonist like antiquarian galleries, discotheques and disco clubs. Thanks to the explosions of selfies, people now love to be photographed because they have learned how to be in total control of their expressions. Many journalists have bad words on selfies but I think that was a revolution primarily for this reason, now you can have control of your face. If you observe the photos of the last century will see people slightly intimidated by the objective.
IH EXHIBITIONS: classic exhibitions in galleries with printed/framed and projected photos/artworks.
PUBLIC/MIXED PERFORMANCES: This is the hottest part that I’m going to realize with Pollock Project a group of talented musicians. In March at Rome Auditorium and at Maxxi we are going to make a revolutionary performance. A exhibition and shooting in the gallery where the images/shots/film footage are sent in real-time to the Auditorium during the live concert of Pollock Project. I don’t want to say more because the “UNEXPECTED HAPPENING (Art-Jazz and Shooting for Humans)”, this is the title of the performance, must be a surprise for all.
At this event we will launch The Mobilism Movement as the perfect fusion of several kind of art, mostly Music and Photography, created on mobile devices.
So Merry Xmas all and remember “Be Human”
