Following on from last years successful ’24 Mobile Photographers Til Christmas’ series and to celebrate the forthcoming festive season and another year in the timeline of Mobiography I have decided to repeat the series and showcase the work, thoughts and insights of 24 talented mobile photographers. Each featured photographer has inspired and supported me in one way or another during the course of the past 2 years and I will be asking them to offer an insight into their photography, to reflect on their year gone by or plans for the coming year ahead.
Each day until Christmas Eve we will be featuring one photographer in a sort of online advent calendar so to speak.
Today’s featured photographer is Andrea Bigiarini
The photo I am most proud of is…
I love this photo because I love this place. The place I’m talking about is Sharm El Sheik, Egypt.
My wife and I we go down there once a year and, as you know in the Sinai desert, it never rains especially in May.
I was moving around as usual for the walk that I associate with the Golden Hour especially for the hot 42/45° when suddenly two things happened.
A group of clouds covered the sky completely and at the same time someone was spraying the area with a anti mosquitoes steam. It seemed like an apocalyptic scene had to shoot and capture that scene. The “shot in the barrell” was with Hipstamatic with John lenses loaded. I was convinced that it would be coming off a very dark picture instead I was lucky.
So the moral of this story is: “Shoot then think”
Thanks Mobiography. You make my day.
Seaon greetings to all!
And to you Andrea. Thanks for taking part and for sharing a great image with us
