To mark the launch of this year’s Mobiography Awards, Mobiography is hosting an International Photowalk Day.
We are partnering with various mobile photography communities and Instagram hubs from around the world, who will be organizing photo walks and meet-ups.
What Will Be Happening?
The Date: Saturday 27th April 2024
On Saturday 27th April 2024 we are asking people to head out in groups or as individuals.
Their task: to photograph ‘The World Around You’ and then share those photos in real-time on Instagram using the hashtag #MobiographyAwards2024.
Following the event, a one-off special edition of Mobiography Magazine will be published that will feature a selection of the best work shared over the weekend as well as showcase some of the Instagram communities and hubs that took part.
How to Get Involved?
1. Register Your Interest
If you would like to get involved, register your interest below and we will send you more details.
2. Head Out on a Photo walk
During Saturday 27th April, you can either head out for a photowalk of your own, organize a group photowalk or join one near you.
The theme for the day is ‘The World Around You’.
3. Share Your Photos on Instagram
You are then invited to share the photos they take on Instagram using the hashtag #MobiographyAwards2024 along with details about where and when the photo was taken. For example: Opera House, Cork, Ireland at 2.05pm.
The best ones will be reposted on the Mobiography Instagram account and will also be published in a special dedicated issue for the event.
4. Enter the Mobiography Awards
Following the photowalk day, don’t miss out on the opportunity to submit your best photos taken during their photowalk day to this year’s Mobiography Awards in the dedicated category for the event theme – ‘The Word Around You’.
The awards will have a dedicated category to theme for the event – ‘The Word Around You’.
Entries will be judged by a team of talented photographers. The category winner will receive a $250 cash prize and runners up will receive an honourable mention and their work showcased here on the Mobiography website and a special edition of the Mobiography magazine.
