SmartFotoFest – the Festival of Smartphone Photography – has teamed up with Mobiography Magazine and the Mobile Photography Awards to hold an open call for entries to the SmartFotoFest smartphone photography exhibition at the National University of Ireland (NUI) in Galway, Ireland.
About the Competition
The Exhibition Theme is ‘Connections’. Mobile photographers are being asked to submit their best, most evocative images that capture a moment in time, that in some way make a connection with the viewer, that tell a story or convey an emotion.
A panel of judges will select 30 mobile photos that will be featured in this month-long exhibition in the NUI Galway Exhibition Hall. The Connections exhibition opens on 5th June and continues through until 30th June 2019.

About Smart Foto Fest
SmartFotoFest, is a one-day Festival of Smartphone Photography that’s being held this coming June at the NUI Galway on the picturesque west coast of Ireland. Organized by the people behind the hugely successful mobile journalism conference MojoFest, SmartFotoFest will sit along side this year’s MojoFest conference. It will consist of eight workshops and photo walks led by some of the world’s leading mobile photographers, including Jack Hollingsworth, Nicki Fitz-Gerald, Tim Bingham, Dan Rubin and Paul Moore.
Workshops are going to cover a variety of photographic genres, including street photography, candid portraiture, light painting with the Slow Shutter Cam app, landscape photography, smartphone post-production editing and even underwater photography.
