I’m pleased to announce an open call for entries into a Mobile Photography Competition that Mobiography is hosting in conjunction with MoboPhotoFest of Ireland at this years Mojocon.

mobophotofest 1 - Mobile Photography Competition: Open Call For Entries

RTÉ Mojocon is a leading international media conference focusing on mobile journalism, mobile content creation, mobile photography and new technology all in one event.  The event takes place in Galway city in Ireland on May 4th-6th.

Winners of this competition will be showcased in an exhibition that MoboPhotoFest and Mobiography are putting on as a fringe event for the Mojocon conference.

There are three categories; Portrait, Street and Creative. The winners from each category will be included in the exhibition, and will also receive an Olloclip lens as well as an annual subscription to Mobiography Magazine.

The Deadline

First things first, the deadline.. We don’t have much time before the event so the closing date for entry is April 17th 2017 – yes we know this is very soon so get to work!

I’ll repeat that, the closing date is Monday 17th April 2017. That gives you a week.

How to Enter

We have 3 categories, so 3 winners.  They are:

  • Portrait
  • Street
  • Creative

You may enter any number of entries in any of the categories but be aware that 10 images of you and your cat will not go in your favour.  We want to see that photo of you and Felix but send us the very best one.  Part of being a good photographer is learning how to edit down!

The photograph must not contain obscene, provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate content. Photographs deemed inappropriate will be disqualified.

You can submit your work a few ways

1)  Join the Facebook group ‘mobophotofest’ and share your image to the group stating which category you would like your photo to belong to.

2)  Email your file to [email protected] please put your name and which category you would like your photo to belong to.

Make sure your original file is the largest jpeg size possible.

Unfortunately if your image is too small and pixelated to print we won’t be able to consider your image.
