And yet I have had the weakness, and have still the weakness, to wish you to know with what a sudden mastery you kindled me, heap of ashes that I am, into fire. // Charles Dickens

And yet I have had the weakness, and have still the weakness, to wish you to know with what a sudden mastery you kindled me, heap of ashes that I am, into fire. // Charles Dickens‘ by kristie_michele_art – “The inspiration behind my image, as with most of my images, is to evoke some type of emotion. With this self portrait, I am conveying what it feels like to be a woman, expressing my sensuality, and embracing the passion that has been ignited within me.

I set up my tripod and iPhone, with a 30 second timer, used in Camera+ app, made sure I used the natural lighting coming in through the window, and then my shot was set. Once I had the image I wanted, I used the Tadaa app for masking. Once I had that done, I finished my edit using my favorite app, Mextures.  “

Internacional de las Mujeres Rurales

Internacional de las Mujeres Rurales‘ by lianasolis – “The story of this photo is very nice. We imagine that Milan is full of glamour, the city of fashion and design. But the city is surrounded by farms and fields. One Sunday I went for a walk through the countryside, where I found this very old farm, everything seemed abandoned. I poked my head through a door that looked like the entrance to a barn, there were cows and a corner came this very old woman. I talked to her and asked if she could make some photos, only carried with me the Iphone 5. It was such a magical moment as compelling, light filtered through the windows wonderful. I liked to hear about this little old woman full of energy, which so proudly showed me his stable.

Originally this photograph is color. ProCam processed and Instagram. I decided to publish it in B / N to give more drama to the image. The process I have done is give some structure and vignette. ”

Yes, I’ve just bought the newspaper. So what?

Yes, I’ve just bought the newspaper. So what?‘ by luison_street – “This picture was shot on my iPhone 6S Plus, using Hipstamatic JohnS lens and BlacKey Supergrain film. I used Snapseed to crop the frame and sharpen a bit the woman’s face. And I finally used TadaaSLR to blur the background and focus the attention on the woman’s expression.

The background of the story is the usual: I always walk around my eyes wide open and my iPhone ready to shoot. I stood by this woman while waiting to cross the road”

Eddie – Arkansas

Eddie – Arkansas‘ by Tommy Wallace – “One morning I noticed Eddie while eating breakfast at a local cafe. When he got up to leave I introduced myself and asked if I could take his portrait. He obliged and I spent the next few minutes not only doing that but hearing his story. What started as a photo opportunity is now developing into a friendship.

I shot this portrait with a Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+. This image was edited in Snapseed.”

Rafaela

Rafaela‘ by ricardoaguiarfoto – “This is a picture of my daughter Rafaela. She was in the car seat when I had the chance to take this shot. I find it a very interesting and spontaneous form of photography.
I really enjoy taking advantage of children distracted moments. One drawback of these moments are when sometimes objects can interface in the scene, causing a distraction. Because of that, I used the de-speckling in some of the image.

The photography was shot with the Lumia 930 smartphone from Nokia, which I first edited using Adobe Photoshop Express to convert it into monochrome, and used Fantasia Painter to creative vignettes and blurring.”

Untitled‘ by Robin Robertis – “The original was shot in hipstamatic but i don’t remember the film lens combo. It was then taken into Snapseed where i do basic adjustments. Then to add the texture and birds, I use one of my favorite apps DistressedFX.”

Davis‘ by Armineh Hovanesian – “That particular day was quite frustrating throughout and since my venting tool is my photography, I decided to get busy.  This shot is a double exposure shot taken with Hipstamatic on my iPhone6. “
